Piel was born in the Black Forest in 2001. At elementary school, he wanted to be a rock star, but then swapped his guitar for his dad's video camera due to a lack of singing talent and made his first short films. He has been studying audiovisual media with a focus on film at Stuttgart Media University since 2021. He continued his studies at California State University, Los Angeles with a scholarship of the Baden-Wuerttemberg foundation.
